Driving Directions To Baja Cove Beach and Lagoon From Tijuana Airport:

As you come out of the parking lot, take a left to arrive at the stop light.

Make a left turn and drive west for a mile next to the border fence and follow all the cars down the hill and pass 8 (eight) stop lights until you cross under the rail road tracks.

Keep driving straight but on the right side of the road towards  a round about.

Take the side street on the right of the bridge, make sure you will NOT go up the bridge.

After just a block, you will arrive at the main loop, so take a right and merge into the loop at the second entrance (is a lot easier than the first one you encounter.) As soon as you merge into the loop, KEEP LEFT and you値l go up an exit that says ROSARITO- ENSENADA.

=====================================================================

Driving Directions To Baja Cove Beach and Lagoon from San Diego and San Ysidro

After you cross the border in San Ysidro, go straight up the bridge.

Take the right lane, and turn at the first exit, right before the sign that reads:  ROSARITO-ENSENADA SCENIC ROAD.

================================================================

Coming from either one direction:

Descend down the ramp, and again you'll be driving west on the highway next to the border.

Drive up the mountain and then as you go down, be ready to take a right merge into the ENSENADA SCENIC ROAD.

As you go up the mountain again, you'll pass through a military post that normally will let you go by. If you are stopped, they値l search for your trunk and glove compartment looking for drugs or arms. They are courteous and let you go.

You値l pass the exit to Playas de Tijuana on the right. Don't take it, even though most cars will go that direction.

Keep straight and after a curve to the left, you will find the first of three toll booths. Be ready to pay about $2.30 dollars, or $26.00 pesos at each of the three toll booths. YOU ARE NOW ON THE RIGHT HIGHWAY. Keep driving carefully for the next 45 miles and enjoy the view!!!

You値l pass Rosarito (second toll booth), Puerto Nuevo (lobster and beans,) Baja Mar (golf course,)

After the third Toll Booth, you will drive about 5 miles, up to a split in the road right in front of the CORAL HOTEL & MARINA. Stay on your right, following the San Quintin sign.

At the next light, you'll be entering Ensenada's downtown area. Keep driving straight forward, and three lights ahead, you'll find a PEMEX gas station on your left, and a restaurant at your right

Take a left, until you reach the second light. You'll see the SORIANA shopping center and Office Depot on your right. Take a right at the corner and you'll be driving the Transpeninsular Highway 1, straight for about 10 miles.

You will go through many traffic lights. Pass Walmart on your right....Costco on your left, the military airport at your right and keep driving on highway 1.

After you pass the ESTERO BEACH sign, continue down hill on highway 1 into the Maneadero Valley. As you go down, you値l see the 16 Kilometer sign.

Keep straight for 3 miles until the road takes a left curve, where you will find two subsequent lights and two subsequent PEMEX gas stations on Km. 21.

A quarter of a mile after the Km. 21 post, take a right at the big sign that reads LA BUFADORA. There are five speed bumps that are very poorly announced, so be careful.

Then drive 6 miles to the town called ESTEBAN CANTU. After you pass the second speed bump at the CANTU town, drive 1000 feet and take a right to PUNTA ESTERO where you see a BIG sign advertising LAS ROSAS HOTEL & SPA (opening 2009) and a small sign that reads AGUACALIENTE.

Drive for a km ON A gravel ROAD that turns into pavement. Go through a guard shack that has a MARAZUL sign and a bump.. They will let you pass without saying anything.

Drive straight ahead half a mile until you pass between two white towers where you値l find OUR SECURITY CHECKPOINT.

Say you need to contact the office. Take a left at the ALTO (STOP) sign, and at the end of that street you will find our office right on the beach.
